It can be terrible that you do not teach yourself a dog, I understand your pain. As a student, I also had a difficult financial situation. At a more mature age, I remembered about my desire, but decided not to buy a dog, but to take it from a shelter. It was the best decision in my life, Ray (as I called him) became my family, my wife really likes him, they get along well. In the beginning it was difficult to figure out how to properly care for a dog.
