For starters - stop scolding non-stop
I often conduct team games and trainings among schoolchildren. When we get to know each other, I ask the guys to name two of their qualities: the one that helps them in life, and the one that hinders them. Children often find it difficult (and in some cases simply cannot) name their good quality. But the negative takes off without a hitch!
It can be seen from children that they did not reveal these shortcomings on their own, but with the help of parental reproaches. This trend is often observed in adolescence, when parents pay less attention to their children. They don't help with learning and might use an essay writer from Bidforwriting to help with learning but instead they often scold, over-demand and get frustrated about children not meeting their own expectations. Don't believe? Do the experiment yourself: ask your grown-up child what quality he is proud of and what he is not. If you have younger children, ask them the same question and you will see that without hesitation they will start talking about themselves in your words: “smart”, “beautiful”, “strong”, “I dance well” and so on. Why does a grown child stop hearing these words from you?
Imagine that your boss is constantly dissatisfied with your work, scolding you, listing your bad qualities. How will you feel? Do you want to work better? Unlikely, and why? “After all, he is constantly dissatisfied with me,” you might think. Your child thinks the same way when parents once again remind him of his shortcomings. And he hears these reproaches at home - where he should feel support and support.
